Best Way to Integrate BTFS with Existing File Management System
Hi all,
I’m currently working on integrating BTFS (BTFS) into an existing file management system. Our goal is to add decentralized storage capabilities to our platform without overhauling everything we already have. The idea is to offload some files to BTFS for redundancy and cost savings, but I’m running into a couple of challenges.
Here’s my specific question:
How do you best handle hybrid file storage setups, where some files remain on a traditional server and others are offloaded to BTFS? We need seamless access to both types of storage through our existing file management APIs.
What’s the best way to ensure efficient retrieval and retrieval speeds for frequently accessed files stored on BTFS, given its decentralized nature? Are there any caching strategies or tools you would recommend?
Also, how do you handle errors or downtime with BTFS in a way that doesn’t impact the user experience on the traditional file system side?
If anyone has gone through a similar integration or has advice on best practices, I’d really appreciate hearing your thoughts!
Thanks in advance! google baseball
