influencers gone wild impact?
I’ve been noticing a growing trend where online creators push extreme content just to get attention, and I’m curious how the community views this shift. A lot of people refer to this pattern as “influencers gone wild,” and it’s becoming more common across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and even YouTube.
My question is: Do you think this trend actually harms the influencer industry, or is it just part of the natural evolution of online entertainment?
Some argue that creators are simply adapting to shorter attention spans and tougher competition, while others believe it’s creating unrealistic expectations and promoting unsafe behaviour. It also seems to blur the line between creative expression and shock-value tactics.
I’m trying to understand whether audiences are genuinely entertained by this or if it’s more of a temporary hype cycle that will fade out as new trends appear. Have you noticed any shift in how viewers respond? Has it changed the type of content you follow or trust?
Would love to hear different opinions. Also came across an interesting site discussing related topics: https://www.influencersgonewildco.uk/
