What are the early symptoms of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)?

Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) occurs when a blood clot forms in a deep vein, usually in the leg. Early symptoms may be mild and sometimes go unnoticed, but common warning signs include:

Swelling in one leg (rarely both)

Pain or tenderness in the calf or thigh

Warmth in the affected area

Red or discolored skin

Leg cramps, especially at night

A feeling of heaviness in the leg

In some cases, DVT may not cause noticeable symptoms until complications develop.
