Is CE certification UK Mandatory?

CE certification UK is compulsory for a company’s product for exporting or importing into the European Economic Area (EEA), but not mandatory outside of EEA. If a company sells its product without CE marking on the package, it is illegal and can result in penalties. The reason why it is illegal is that the products may not be safe or fit for purpose, and if there is an issue with the product, the manufacturers will be held responsible.
