What are the Applications of PVP-Based Hydrogels?
9 days ago by Mindy
PVP-based hydrogels as biomaterials have been proposed for a wide range of biomedical applications like wound healing, transdermal drug delivery, oral drug delivery, and as substitutes for skin, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, and bone. This is because PVP-based hydrogels contain a high amount of water and have good biocompatibility, high elasticity and mechanical strength, and good chemical stability and durability[1]. In addition, PVP-based hydrogels are widely used in soft contact lens preparation, waste water treatment, hydrocarbon degradation, food packaging, water retainers for agriculture, and so on.
