BTFS Storage Providers(SPs)

To optimize network efficiency, enhance storage service quality, and foster the long-term stable development of the BTFS network, BTFS 4.0 introduces an incentive model that favors high-performance, stable Storage Providers (SPs). This strategic shift aims to attract nodes with robust technical capabilities and substantial resource reserves, collaboratively building a decentralized storage system characterized by high availability and reliability.
BTFS 4.0 introduces the new Storage Provider role. Compared to traditional BTFS nodes, SPs are subject to more stringent requirements concerning hardware configuration, service stability, and availability.
Furthermore, a prerequisite for becoming a Storage Provider is to first qualify as a Validator on the BTTC network. This mechanism is designed to bolster the overall performance and trustworthiness of the BTFS network, laying a solid foundation for a future-proof decentralized infrastructure.
